Educational Qualification

Junior Resident

Candidates applying for Junior Resident must have:

  • an eligible medical qualification;
  • passed MBBS including completion of internship; and
  • registration with the Central or State Medical Council.

The required qualifying result must be declared by the closing date of the application.

Senior Resident/Senior Demonstrator

For most clinical Senior Resident posts, candidates need the relevant MD/MS/DNB postgraduate medical qualification in the concerned specialty.

For Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology, the advertisement also provides eligibility for certain non-medical Senior Demonstrator candidates. Depending on the department, this generally requires the relevant Master’s/M.Sc./M.Biotech qualification along with a Ph.D. in the concerned or allied subject. Candidates should check the exact qualification against their department before applying.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is different for the two recruitments:

PostUpper Age Limit
Junior Resident33 Years
Senior Resident/Senior Demonstrator45 Years

For both advertisements, relaxation includes 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST, while PwBD relaxation varies according to category. Reservation-related relaxation is not available to an SC/ST/OBC candidate applying against a UR vacancy.

Application Fee

The same fee structure is stated in both notices:

CategoryApplication Fee
General/OBC₹1,500
SC/ST/EWS₹1,000
PwBDNo Fee

The fee is non-refundable and has to be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, AIIMS Rewari, payable at Rewari. The Demand Draft must be enclosed with the application.

Salary / Pay Scale

Junior Resident, Senior Resident & Senior Demonstrator

  • Junior Residents will receive Pay Level 10 with basic pay ₹56,100, along with applicable usual allowances.
  • Medical Senior Residents will receive Pay Level 11 with basic pay ₹67,700 plus usual allowances.
  • Non-medical candidates with M.Sc. and Ph.D. appointed under the applicable Senior Demonstrator category will receive Pay Level 10 with basic pay ₹56,100 plus allowances.

What Candidates Should Notice

These are two different application deadlines

Do not use one closing date for both advertisements. The Junior Resident form must reach AIIMS Rewari by 28 October, while the Senior Resident/Senior Demonstrator application is accepted up to 29 October 2026.

Hard copy is compulsory

There is no online application submission process in these advertisements. Candidates have to send or submit the prescribed physical application form with the supporting documents.

Applying for more than one Senior Resident department needs separate forms

A candidate can apply for only one department/specialty through one Senior Resident application form. If applying for more than one department, the candidate has to submit separate application forms and the applicable fee separately.

This is an important condition because sending one form for multiple specialties does not follow the procedure stated in the SR advertisement.

Selection Process

For both recruitments, final merit is based on the interview, which carries 100 marks.

AIIMS Rewari may also conduct a written or screening test of a qualifying nature to shortlist candidates if required. A written examination should therefore not be treated as a confirmed stage for every applicant. Interview dates and venues will be announced separately.

Tenure of Appointment

Junior Resident

The initial Junior Resident tenure is 6 months. It may be extended up to a maximum total period of one year, subject to performance and the decision of the competent authority.

Senior Resident

Senior Residency can continue for a maximum of three years. Candidates who have already completed three years of Senior Residency under the Central Residency Scheme are not eligible. Any earlier Senior Residency in the same specialty is counted towards the maximum three-year period.

Documents to Send With the Application

Candidates should submit the signed prescribed form along with the applicable self-attested documents, including:

  • date-of-birth proof
  • qualifying degree certificates and marksheets
  • valid medical/dental registration, wherever applicable
  • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD certificate, if applicable
  • Demand Draft/proof of fee
  • experience documents, where applicable
  • identity proof
  • NOC for candidates already in service, wherever applicable
  • other documents relevant to eligibility

Senior Resident applicants who are foreign medical graduates should also check the FMGE-related document requirement given in the advertisement.

OBC and EWS Candidates Should Check Certificate Dates

For Junior Resident recruitment, an OBC-NCL certificate issued during 2026-27, specifically within the period stated in the notification, is relevant to the recruitment.

The Senior Resident notice similarly requires the applicable current OBC-NCL documentation and lays down specific EWS certificate conditions.

Candidates claiming reservation should therefore check their certificate date and Central Government validity rather than attaching an old certificate without reviewing the notification.

How to Apply for AIIMS Rewari Recruitment 2026

  1. Choose whether you are applying for Junior Resident or Senior Resident/Senior Demonstrator.
  2. Download the corresponding official advertisement.
  3. Use the application form included in the notification.
  4. Fill all required personal, qualification, registration and category details.
  5. Arrange the prescribed Demand Draft, unless exempted.
  6. Attach the required self-attested supporting documents.
  7. Sign the form and attach the covering letter.
  8. For Senior Resident applications, submit a separate form and fee for each additional department/specialty.
  9. Send or submit the completed application so that it reaches AIIMS Rewari by the relevant closing date.

Application Address

O/o Executive Director, AYUSH Block, Ground Floor, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Majra, Rewari, Haryana – 123102

For Junior Resident applications, the envelope should be superscribed as instructed in the JR advertisement. Senior Resident applicants should mention the post and department/specialty on the envelope in the format given in that notice.

Application Mistakes to Avoid

Candidates should avoid sending only scanned or online documents because the current process requires a hard copy. Senior Resident candidates should not use one application and one fee payment for several departments.

Applicants should also check that their qualifying degree result is available by the relevant cut-off date. A result declared after the prescribed eligibility date can lead to cancellation of candidature.
