Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has opened recruitment for 10 Group B and below S&T and non-S&T vacancies under Employment Notice No. 2(4)/I/STPI-HQ/2026-27. The posts include Administrative Officer, Member Technical Support Staff, Assistant and Office Attendant.
Online applications opened on 29 August 2026 and the closing date is 12 October 2026. The official recruitment portal is currently accepting registrations for the five advertised post categories.
STPI Recruitment 2026 Notification Details
The STPI online recruitment portal is active for Administrative Officer (A-V), MTSS ES-V, MTSS ES-IV, Assistant (A-II) and Office Attendant (S-I). Candidates have to complete both parts of the online application process; generating a registration number through Part I alone does not complete the application.
The official advertisement fixes 12 October 2026 as both the application closing date and the date on which age, educational qualification and experience eligibility will be determined. Only post-qualification experience will be counted where experience is required.

Candidates claiming such reservation should read the category provisions and certificate requirements in the official notice carefully.
What Candidates Should Notice Before Applying
There are several conditions in this recruitment that are easy to miss.
First, eligibility is checked on 12 October 2026. If a post requires experience, only experience obtained after acquiring the required qualification will be considered.
Second, the online form has two stages. Part I generates the registration number. The candidate must then complete Part II before the closing date. STPI states that an incomplete Part I registration cannot be claimed as a completed candidature.
Third, applying for more than one post requires separate applications. The prescribed application fee must also be paid separately wherever applicable. However, a candidate applying for the same post does not need separate applications for different STPI locations. Location preferences are entered in the application itself.
Fourth, Administrative Officer is not a simple graduate-level vacancy. A graduate needs six years of prescribed experience, while a postgraduate needs four years. The MBA condition mentioned under the notice is a desirable qualification; it should not be treated as a replacement for the essential eligibility requirements.
Important Dates
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Publication in Employment News | 29 August 2026 |
| Online Application Opening | 29 August 2026 |
| Last Date for Online Application | 12 October 2026 |
| Eligibility/Age Cut-off Date | 12 October 2026 |
| Written Exam Date | Not announced in the employment notice |
The advertisement states that the application window runs for 45 days from its publication in Employment News.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹500 per application.
No application fee is required from:
- Female candidates
- SC candidates
- ST candidates
- PH candidates
The fee, once paid, is non-refundable. The exact payment process is provided through the online application system.
A candidate applying for two different posts should therefore not assume that one paid application covers both posts. STPI specifically requires separate applications with the requisite fee for each post.
Educational Qualification and Experience
Direct Recruitment Eligibility
| Post | Essential Qualification / Experience |
|---|---|
| Administrative Officer (A-V) | Graduate in any discipline with 6 years’ experience in personnel/administration/vigilance OR Postgraduate in any discipline with 4 years’ experience in these fields |
| MTSS ES-V | 3-year Diploma in Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Telecommunication OR Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Computer Application/IT OR DOEACC ‘A’ Level certificate, plus 2 years’ experience |
| MTSS ES-IV | Same educational routes as MTSS ES-V, plus 1 year experience |
| Assistant (A-II) | Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university |
| Office Attendant (S-I) | Matriculation or equivalent |
These are the essential direct-recruitment requirements shown in the official advertisement.
For Administrative Officer, a Diploma in Personnel/Financial/Purchase Management is listed as desirable. An MBA from a recognised university with one year of experience in Personnel/Administration/Vigilance is also mentioned under the desirable criteria.
For Assistant (A-II), a six-month certification course in Computer Operations is desirable. For Office Attendant, STPI lists knowledge of typing, computers and common office equipment among the desirable skills.
Absorption Route
The absorption route is meant for eligible officers working in Central/State Government, PSUs or Autonomous Bodies and is not an alternative eligibility route for ordinary outside applicants.
| Post | Service Requirement for Absorption |
|---|---|
| Administrative Officer | Analogous post on regular basis OR 5 years’ regular service in Level 6, with Administration/Personnel/Vigilance experience |
| MTSS ES-V | Analogous regular post OR 3 years’ regular service in Level 5 |
| MTSS ES-IV | Analogous regular post OR 3 years’ regular service in Level 4 |
| Assistant (A-II) | Analogous regular post OR 5 years’ regular service in Level 2 |
Applicants under absorption must also possess the qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment.
Office Attendant has no absorption route in this advertisement. It is a direct-recruitment vacancy.
Who Can Practically Apply?
A candidate with only a graduation degree can directly consider the Assistant (A-II) post, subject to the age and other conditions.
A Matriculation-qualified candidate can consider Office Attendant (S-I).
Candidates with the specified electronics, computer science, IT, telecommunications, computer applications or DOEACC qualification can consider the MTSS vacancies, but they must also have the required post-qualification experience: two years for ES-V and one year for ES-IV.
Administrative Officer applicants need both the prescribed degree and substantial experience in personnel, administration or vigilance.
Age Limit
Age will be calculated as on 12 October 2026.
| Post | Direct Recruitment Maximum Age | Absorption Maximum Age |
|---|---|---|
| Administrative Officer (A-V) | 40 years | 56 years |
| MTSS ES-V | 36 years | 56 years |
| MTSS ES-IV | 34 years | 56 years |
| Assistant (A-II) | 32 years | 56 years |
| Office Attendant (S-I) | 30 years | Not applicable |
The advertisement allows upper-age relaxation according to prevailing Government of India instructions for applicable categories and regular Government/STPI employees. It does not provide a separate category-wise relaxation table in the main vacancy section, so applicants should not assume a specific relaxation without checking the applicable rule and certificate requirement.
Pay Scale
| Post | Pay Matrix |
|---|---|
| Administrative Officer (A-V) | Level 7 – ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 |
| MTSS ES-V | Level 6 – ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 |
| MTSS ES-IV | Level 5 – ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 |
| Assistant (A-II) | Level 4 – ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 |
| Office Attendant (S-I) | Level 1 – ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 |
These figures are the notified pay matrix ranges, not estimates of monthly in-hand salary.
Selection Process
STPI has specified a written examination for Administrative Officer, MTSS ES-V, MTSS ES-IV and Assistant.
Office Attendant has a written examination plus Skill Test. The notice does not list an interview as the prescribed selection mode for these five posts.
Completed applications will first be screened. Only screened-in candidates will be called for the written examination.
STPI Written Exam Pattern 2026
| Post | Written Exam Pattern |
|---|---|
| MTSS ES-V / ES-IV | Reasoning 20, General Awareness 20, Numerical Aptitude 20, English 20, Technical Area 70 |
| Administrative Officer | Reasoning 25, General Awareness 25, Numerical Aptitude 25, English 25, Central Government Rules & Procedures 50 |
| Assistant (A-II) | Reasoning 40, General Awareness 35, Numerical Aptitude 35, English 40 |
| Office Attendant | General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude and English Comprehension |
For MTSS, Administrative Officer and Assistant, there are 150 questions carrying one mark each, with 2½ hours allowed.
The Office Attendant paper has 50 questions carrying two marks each, with a duration of 1½ hours.
There is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
The official notice also fixes the examination locations as Delhi/NCR and Bengaluru.
A Useful Preparation Difference
Candidates should not prepare for every STPI post using the same syllabus.
The MTSS paper gives 70 marks to the technical area, while Administrative Officer has 50 marks specifically for Central Government Rules and Procedures. Assistant has no separate technical or government-rules section in the notified pattern.
The attached syllabus for Administrative Officer includes areas such as GFR, FR & SR, pension rules, NPS, TA/LTC, medical rules, RTI and financial procedures. The MTSS technical syllabus covers areas from electronics and communications to computer science, networking, programming, operating systems and database concepts.
Important Application Conditions
Complete Part II, Not Just Registration
The STPI portal divides the application into Registration Part I and Part II. Part I provides the registration number. The detailed application must then be completed in Part II before the closing date.
Once the candidate freezes or finally submits the application, the portal states that application details cannot be changed.
Applying for More Than One Post
Separate applications are required when applying for different posts.
But if one post has vacancies at more than one STPI centre, the candidate does not need a separate application for every location. Location preferences can be selected in the form, and STPI states that separate merit will be drawn for locations.
Government Employees and NOC
Applicants working in Central or State Government, PSUs or autonomous organisations need to deal with the NOC requirement. The current portal also allows Government employees to upload the NOC after final submission up to the application closing date.
Absorption applicants have additional service-document requirements, including documents showing the date of appointment in the present grade and, where applicable, equivalence between IDA and CDA pay scales.
Documents and Files to Keep Ready
The current STPI recruitment portal asks candidates to keep readable scanned documents ready before completing the form, including:
- Testimonials, up to 500 KB each
- Certificates, up to 500 KB each
- Passport-size photograph, up to 200 KB
- Online transfer/payment receipt, up to 200 KB where applicable
The portal specifically warns that uploaded documents should be readable.
Candidates claiming SC, ST, OBC, EWS, disability or other reservation benefits must use the prescribed certificates applicable to Central Government organisations where required. STPI states that unsupported category claims can lead to cancellation of candidature.
How to Apply for STPI Recruitment 2026
- Open the official STPI recruitment portal.
- Read Employment Notice No. 2(4)/I/STPI-HQ/2026-27 before selecting a post.
- Select the required post and complete Registration Part I.
- Save the registration number generated by the system.
- Open Registration Part II and complete the detailed application.
- Upload the required certificates, photograph and other supporting files.
- Pay the ₹500 fee if you are not covered by the notified fee exemption.
- Check your post and location preferences carefully.
- Freeze/final-submit the application only after reviewing the entered information.
- If applying for another post, submit a separate application as required.
STPI states that no other mode of application will be accepted and only completely filled online applications will be considered for the recruitment process.
Application Mistakes to Avoid
The most serious avoidable mistake here is stopping after Registration Part I. A registration number by itself is not a completed application. Part II must also be submitted before the deadline.
Applicants should also avoid combining two different posts into one application. STPI requires a separate application for each post. At the same time, creating separate forms merely for Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Noida or another location under the same post is unnecessary because the portal provides location preferences.
Candidates applying for an experience-based post should calculate only their post-qualification experience up to 12 October 2026. Experience that does not meet this condition should not be assumed to count.
